Where the ten years came from.

Three roles at one marketplace, an advertising team, almost three years of teaching, and an early run of international product work. In order:

THE THROUGH-LINE

The design system nobody asked for.

Egor joined Ozon in late 2020 as a product designer and left four years later leading a team of five. Along the way he unified more than 60 separate seller-facing products into one system — the one 300+ products across the company are now built on.

Nobody asked for it at the start. Nobody had budget for it. The first version shipped on weekends, the second was sold to one PM at a time, and the third became infrastructure the company now hires designers to extend.

That’s the pattern the lab runs on: build what’s missing, and leave infrastructure for the next ten projects.

HOW WE WORK

Investigate first. Sprint, don’t drift.

Every engagement starts with investigation. We look at the code, the logs, the user flows, and the team dynamics — then quote a tier and a duration we’ll actually hit. After that, three rules:

• Fixed scope, fixed price. No procurement theatre. No mid-sprint surprise invoices.
• One point of contact through every discipline. No handoff between investigation, design, and engineering — we carry the arc.
• Specifics over slogans. We quote what we’ll ship, then ship it. The numbers on the homepage — 60+ products unified, 9 P0 + 19 P1 in 12 days — are how the lab talks.

BEYOND THE BRIEF

A few things that aren’t on the timeline.

A bachelor’s in legal studies that turns out to earn its keep around NDAs and contracts. Apple Search Ads certified, and a habit of building the tools a project needs — like Anonymous, the open-source PII sanitiser written mid-audit. Co-founder of Friendly Design, a 48,000-strong design community in the Russian-speaking world. Currently working from Panglao in the Philippines, async across time zones.
